Rainbow Six: Siege Money Heist Crossover and Free Weekend

Ivan Ganolo

The Spanish Netflix series ‘La Casa de Papel’, known also as Money Heist, is a crime programme revolving around a plan to pull off a colossal heist in Spain’s Royal Mint. With distinctive red outfits and Salvador Dali masks, it’s been a hit worldwide.

So it makes sense that Ubisoft and Netflix have teamed up with a crossover event featuring a hostage dressed like one of the robbers from Money Heist, with Defenders holding them in the game’s Bank map.

The TV series’ distinctive look isn’t just coming to a hostage, both Hibana and Vigil will be dressed up to the nines for the length of the event in similar outfits. If you like the look of these riotously red rompers, you can pick them up in the in-game store for up to a year after the event ends.

That’s not all that’s coming to Rainbow Six: Siege. From today (21st of November) until the 24th of November, the game will be free to play for anyone wanting a bit of Attacker vs Defender action. Here are the times you’ll have access:

  • PC: November 21st 13:00 UTC – November 25th 20:00 UTC.

  • XBOX ONE: November 21st 08:01 UTC – November 25th 05:00 UTC.

  • PLAYSTATION 4: November 21st 13:00 UTC – November 25th 13:00 UTC.

You’ll be able to take part in the full version of the game over the weekend, with all operators, modes and maps there for you to try out. If you decide you like the game, all your progress will be saved if you take the plunge. It’s been a busy year for Rainbow Six: Siege, seeing it go from strength to strength following its year 4 roadmap which was unveiled earlier in February. We’ll be watching for what’s next for the team-based shooter, and we’ll have the latest for you first
